Surrendered Birth Course

Learning all of the ins-and-outs of pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum is imperative to aiding in the childbirth process. It can be scary when we don’t know what is going on with our bodies, or what to expect during the different stages and phases of labor. No matter what kind of birth you are planning (home, birth center, or hospital), this comprehensive childbirth class will prepare you for any scenario. Even if you’re planning a home birth, it is wise to educate yourself on hospital procedures in case of a possible transfer. If you’re planning a medicated hospital birth, it is also wise to know the process of a natural, physiological birth as you never know exactly how your birth will unfold. Maybe you don’t know what kind of birth you want yet!  This class will go over everything that you need to know in order to make the best decision for you and your child. 

My goal is to inform you of all of your choices, and of all of the risks and benefits that come along with those choices with evidence based research. How you think you want to give birth is up to you, but my objective is to ensure that you’re making those decisions from a place of full education, and then surrendering those plans to the Lord. 

While this is a Christian childbirth class, and focuses on how God designed birth, we still cover anything and everything you’d need to know going into childbirth and early parenthood.

Once you’ve completed the course, I will be available via email or a monthly open zoom call to answer any questions you might have leading up to or shortly after your birth!

KAYLA

My passion is teaching childbirth classes, but it’s not just that. My heart is to help open up the hearts and minds of expecting parents and assist them in learning what they didn’t know they didn’t know about birth, and anchoring them to Jesus in the process. How your birth unfolds can have such a tremendous impact on how your parenting journey will start and continue for years to come. I am honored to equip you in learning what you need to know to make the best plans possible for you and your baby, and then to help you to surrender those plans to God as He gives you the peace of living in His will.

A Peek Into What you’ll learn

  • Believe it or not, who we hire to care for us during our pregnancy and delivery can have a huge effect on how our labors and births unfold. We'll dive into the different types of care providers, what they offer and specialize in, and why you would want to hire one over another.

  • Labor prep isn't just physical. While taking care of our bodies is SO important, we also need to be continuously preparing our minds for labor, as well as keeping a constant line of communication open with God about it all.

  • While it's important to prepare for childbirth, it's arguably more important to prepare for postpartum. Everybody in your family will be experiencing postpartum in a different way and it's vital to have the tools and knowledge to help everybody succeed in this precious season.

  • Yes! This is the exact same course that I teach in person, but in an on-demand, online format. You will watch videos of me teaching the exact same content, and you'll have PDF's that you can (and should) print out and put into a notebook to follow along, as well as other resources along the way.

  • Immediately! As soon as you purchase the course, there will be a button that pops up to start the course. You will also get an email giving you exclusive access to the entire course to go through at your own pace.

  • There are over 10 hours of teaching footage in this course, so plan wisely. There are five modules, and several lessons in each module varying in length. While you can go through it straight, I recommend breaking it up into a few lessons at a time so that you have time to process what you're learning.

  • I HIGHLY recommend spouses taking the course together. Even if you can't manage to get your schedules aligned, it would be wise for both of you to go through the class and then discuss it when you can. You want to be on the same page about everything before the birth of your baby.

  • Once purchased, you have lifetime access to this course, so if you need to freshen up if you have another baby in the future, you'll be able to. I will also make periodic updates to the course as I see fit.

  • With much experience and evidence, this course, being over 10 hours long, is MUCH more comprehensive and informative than most courses that currently exist, with the added bonus of weaving Jesus throughout the entire process.
